PRESIDENT’S NOTE
Hello ABAC members!
I’m Susan Russell-Alexander, and I’m honored to serve as your new President of the Atlanta Broadcast Advertising Club. Currently as Regional National Sales Director for Scripps and working in Atlanta and Tampa in different National Sales roles, I am grateful to have rubbed elbows, negotiated, commiserated and strategized with so many of you. And as I think about the numerous years (I won’t say how many) in “the business”, I’ve seen firsthand how rapidly our industry continues to evolve, and I believe ABAC should be your go-to resource for navigating these changes together.
As I was embracing my vision for the next year, I wanted to make sure that as an organization we truly embody our mission. As a Board, we’ll be exploring each of these goals individually and fine-tuning how we execute them, but I want to share what drives our work:
Moving forward, I will be transitioning the President’s Note into a once a month or more blog that will consist of industry news, surveys and questions for you, behind the scenes of ABAC and get to know your fellow members to name a few. I also want this to be about each of you. Your insights, knowledge and engagement are vital to the success of ABAC. With your participation, my goal is for you to feel enriched and empowered as you strive for fulfillment in your careers. While our signature events will continue to be the networking highlights of your calendar, I want to expand what ABAC means to you – making us a go-to resource beyond our gatherings.
