PRESIDENT’S NOTE
Dear ABAC Members,
April showers bring May… followers. (Yes, that’s a prompt to follow our social channels and to subscribe/ check out our NEW website!)
Sitting down to write the President’s note is always an interesting process for me. On most site’s the “President’s Note” is a chance for the elected leader to share their thoughts on the progress or status of an organization or life in general . It’s a lovely notion but as one of the primary drivers behind many things ABAC, I can’t help but feel I may already have too many thoughts. The words, “I’m a pusher Kady..” come to mind.
Yet here I am once again, sharing a deluge of words around how thrilled I am with the direction that ABAC is going in. It’s nice to write outside an IG post or a strongly worded, long winded email to the board. No need to consider efficiency, as I am sure maybe 10% of you are taking the time to engaged in these… so it’s just you and me…the elite, our devoted readers.
Right now my thoughts are all ABAC (and not just because we’re the best we’ve ever been). We’re slowing down a bit for the summer but coming off of a more elevated and successful Spring Fling than we’ve ever had, the election of our new board members (amongst a class of nominees that were stronger than we’ve ever seen), our newly revamped website, new business, educational and philanthropic partnerships, we are poised for what is going to be our best “season” ever! With more volunteer opportunities than we have seen in the past and a series of very casual summer happy hours planned, the board and myself plan on being more engaged with our members and the community in addition to offering more accessibility to each of us as needed.
Hope everyone has a safe and fun summer, and we look forward to seeing you all at Meltdown (if not sooner)!
