EDUCATION
The Atlanta Broadcast Advertising Club (ABAC) has endowed the ABAC Scholarship at the Grady School of Journalism at the University of Georgia ( Broadcasters E Lanier Finch scholarship ) , the Norman J. Radow College of Humanities and Social Sciences at KSU and the Robinson School of Business ( the Martin Sherry Memorial Scholarship ) at Georgia State University.
These scholarships are awarded to an advertising student who exemplifies leadership, hard work and integrity. This scholarship will be collectively chosen by the respective institutions and will be awarded by the ABAC President and Vice President at our annual ABAC Media Awards event each spring.
ABAC Award
The ABAC Award will go to the Outstanding Mentee in the ABAC/ Grady School Mentorship Program at the University of Georgia. Professional Mentors from ABAC will submit a letter of nomination on behalf of the Mentee as to why they are deserving of the award. Letters will then be reviewed by faculty to choose the award winner.
The Atlanta Broadcast Advertising Club (ABAC) Scholarship aims to offer financial assistance to students enrolled in the Radow College of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Michael J. Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University.
Kennesaw State University Endowment
Purpose
The purpose of the Atlanta Broadcast Advertising Club (ABAC) Scholarship is to provide financial support to student(s) in the Radow College of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Michael J. Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University.
Gift Information
The Donor is establishing this endowment with a gift of $30,000 anticipated to be paid over five years beginning 12/1/2024 to the Kennesaw State University Foundation.
The Donor intends to supplement this endowment with an annual gift of $1,000 for two years
beginning 6/30/2024 to the Foundation. Supplements must be received by the December 31
payment deadline each year to be awarded the following fall.
Matching Fund
As a Supporter of the University establishing an endowed gift of at least $30,000 to a named
endowment fund, the Donor will receive a matching gift of $20,000 from the Foundation as part
of the Scholarship Endowment Challenge. Once fully funded and matched, the Atlanta Broadcast
Advertising Club (ABAC) Scholarship will ultimately create a total corpus of $50,000.
Atlanta Broadcast Advertising Club (ABAC) Scholarship
Purpose:
This scholarship is awarded as financial support to student(s) in the Radow College of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Michael J. Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University.
Scholarship Criteria:
Students with the following qualifications receive the scholarship:
o Media & Entertainment
o Journalism and Emerging Media
o Marketing
o Public Relations
* The scholarship is renewable to the same student (s) in good standing with the university and
a current scholarship application.
Martin Sherry/Atlanta Broadcast Advertising Club Scholarship
Purpose
This scholarship is awarded to an exceptional student in advertising in the Marketing Department of the Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University.
