To The Atlanta Media Community,
Since ABAC was first formed in the late sixties, it has been the goal of the organization to educate our members on current topics and trends in the media landscape, engage in networking events, and encourage mentorship opportunities.
Along with informative industry luncheon meetings, career, and employment assistance, ABAC has made a difference in Atlanta with various volunteer projects and hosts the country’s biggest Advertising Mentorship Program.
In addition to those volunteer projects, ABAC financially contributes to Angel Flight and the Georgia Breast Cancer Coalition, funds the ABAC Scholarship Fund at Georgia State University as well as the ABAC Endowment at the University of Georgia Grady School of Journalism.
All of this is done as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization run by volunteers, supported by sponsors and members.
Since the Pandemic started two years ago, ABAC has created a volunteer list to assist families in need, hosted successful food and toy drives, and held virtual Lunch and Learns on timely topics such as Nielsen measurement, Diversity and Inclusion, and most recently on the current state of Human Resources in the Broadcast industry.
100% of our operating expenses are funded from the in-person events that we host. Due to the Pandemic, we have not been able to host a single in-person event to generate the needed financial support. Currently, we find ourselves in a predicament and need your help to ensure that ABAC has a future. We have been able to cover our expenses until now. Our expenses include insurance, tax prep, website and bank fees.
Please take a moment to think about what ABAC has meant to you, the networking opportunities it has provided for your career, and the lifelong friendships you have formed.
We ask that you please take time to donate to the Atlanta Broadcast and Advertising Club.
A donation of any amount will help fund ABAC’s continued contributions to the Atlanta advertising community and will allow us to come back stronger than ever.
Many thanks in advance for your consideration.
